Participation – UTE-ENERSISA

Brazil holds today a priviledged and strategic position in the world scenario of energy production, and Amazonas is one of the states with the highest development potentials in this area. The industrial pole of Manaus shines as one of the most modern in Latin America and, being so, demands constant investments in order to mantain its accelerated growth rhythm. Mindful of the immediate need for expansion in the region’s energetic net, ENERCISA – a genuinely brazilian company – in a partnership with ENGEBRA, answered to the challenge, implementing in Amazonas the Thermal Power Plant of Silves - UTE-SILVES. Located at approximately 200km from Manaus, within the limits of Silves, Itapiranga and Itacoatiara counties, the Thermal Power Plant of Silves – UTE-SILVES, will have a 168,8 MW power generation capacity, supplying the inland counties as well as the capital city of Amazonas’ state. UTE-SILVES also represents a sustainability mark in the segment, as it will use as fuel natural gas, which is less pollutant than diesel.
